India v Bangladesh, One-Off Test: 5 Players To Watch Out For 1
Mehedi Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh reacts after picking up a six-wicket haul against England.

Taskin Ahmed:

The tall fast-bowler, capable of hitting the wicket-keeper’s gloves pretty hard, will be tested for his skills in India. The seamers have been forced to make several changes in their tactics in order to achieve success. Despite the fact that he belongs to sub-continent, bowling against the high-class batsmen bred in the same environment will challenge his confidence and grit. Also, he has very less experience of bending his back in the longer format at the domestic level and has only two Tests under his belt.

In fact, there was a debate surrounding his capability with the red ball ahead of his debut tour to New Zealand. The sceptics were proved right in some sense after he managed just two wickets in two Tests. Keeping all this in mind, the upcoming opportunity holds a great deal of importance for the right-arm fast bowler. A good performance against India will help him trust his ability while a bashing might create a roadblock in his Test career.
