The first Test match between India and England in Rajkot ended in a draw with England playing the better version of cricket among the two teams. There were few good performers and a lot of poor performers who would look to bounce back in the second test after their not so good display in the first.

Gautam Gambhir : Gautam Gambhir made a comeback into the Indian squad in the absence of the injured Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. But in the first Test against England at Rajkot Gambhir failed to do justice to his selection as he scored 29 in the first innings and a duck in the second. Gambhir would be hoping to put some runs in his bag in the second test match to impress the Indian selectors and also to retain his place in the test side. Failing to do so, his spot could be in danger as performances matter the most.
