Amit Mishra : Amit Mishra bowled excellently against New Zealand when he picked up 5 wickets in the final ODI which saw India clinch the 5 match ODI series 3-2. But his performance against the English side in the first test match has not been impressive as he could pick up only 3 wickets over the course of the two innings. Ashwin and Jadeja both chipped in with runs as they failed with the ball, unlike Mishra who failed with the bat also. Mishra was sent in as the night watchman to survive the closing stages of Day 3 but he came back to the pavilion without getting off the mark.
