The England bowling spearhead James Anderson is most probably to make a comeback in the Test team  in the second Test match at Vizag in place of all-rounder Chirs Woakes as according to sources, Woakes has nursed an injury and he might miss the second Test match due to the injury. This further brightens Anderson’s chances to participate in the second match.

Earlier, there was a rumour that Anderson might have to skip the whole series due to his shoulder issue but he recovered well in time and flew here to India a day before the commencement fo the first Test. He was also seen on the field during the game in place of Stuart Broad who during the game was resting in the dressing room. It was James Anderson who took the field in his place. Now with Woakes being doubtful for the second Test , Anderson is the one who will replace his junior pro.

England captain Alastair Cook also indicated about the same in pre-match press conference as he said “The way 11 guys played in the last game was outstanding, so it’s whether you look at rotation or stick with the team, Woakes is the one we are looking at and the number of overs he’s bowled in the last six weeks. He bowled outstandingly well in the last Test.

“Woakes is the one we are looking at and the number of overs he’s bowled in the last six weeks. He bowled outstandingly well in the last Test.

“It’s just a bowling niggle and nothing different from normal wear and tear and he would be fine to play. But [Anderson] is the question we have to ask ourselves. He’s come over and bowled well in the nets and he’s confident.
