Indian cricket has set up a new trend for each match day of a Test which is inducting the 12th man for the team. The star performer of each day hands over a team India jersey to the 12th man who usually is a young cricket fan. Indian skipper Virat Kohli continued the newly set up trend on the final day of the 4th Test match at Wankhede which India won convincingly.
Indian skipper inducted Anaya Jain as the new 12th man on the final day of the Test and handed her the Team India Jersey. The moment was indeed adorable as the official twitter handle of the BCCI posted a picture of Kohli with the young girl on twitter.

The players usually has a short conversation with the BCCI tv after handing over the jersey to the young cricket fan. Earlier in the day, India registered an innings victory over England which helped them take a 3-0 lead in the series with one match to go at Chennai. Parthiv Patel, India’s comeback man started the trend when he handed over the jerseys to twins Vivaan and Vismay. The faces of the kids clearly told how excited they were on receiving the team India jerseys.
Murali Vijay’s tremendous ton saw him give away the jersey to young boy Dhruv Tandel on day 3 whereas on day 4 Jayant Yadav who scored his maiden test ton on the day presented the jersey to young girl Anaya Bansal. This is a wonderful trend and gesture by the Indian team which will definitely excite more young fans to follow the game of cricket.
