  1. Bhuvneshwar Kumar the pick of the bowlers for India

Bhuvneshwar Kumar who came in place of Umesh Yadav bowled brilliantly during the 2nd day. During his first spell with the new ball, he picked two wickets of Guptill and Nicholls. He troubled Guptill and other New Zealand batsmen with his swing. After a long rain delay, Kumar came in again and picked the wicket of Taylor. He also dismissed Santner and Henry in two successive balls to pick up his first 5 wicket haul in India. Kumar just looked in great rhythm and also the pitched also helped him. In his 10 overs, he picked 5 wickets giving just 33 runs to leave New Zealand at 128 for 7.
