India vs Australia 2017, 1st Test, Day 2: Sunil Gavaskar Takes A Dig At Ravindra Jadeja

Former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar took a jibe at all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for playing a rash shot when the hosts were already in a state of bother as Steve O’Keefe ripped through their batting line-up on Day 2 of the first Test in Pune.
In a bid to score some quick runs, Jadeja, who scored 2 off 14 balls, came down the track in 39th over on the bowling off O’Keefe, only to find Mitchell Starc taking a skier.
“This is his [Jadeja’s] way of responding to crisis situations,” Gavaskar, the cricketer-turned-commentator said.
However, Jadeja has been an asset for India at home in Tests alongside off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
In five Tests against Australia, Jadeja has bagged 26 wickets at an average of 18.96 and has scored 87 at 17.40.
“He [Jadeja] thinks he would get away most of the times but this time he couldn’t,” the 67-year-old Gavaskar added.
Who would’ve thought such a composed batting line-up at home would go down in such a manner inside two sessions?
It was all about O’Keefe, who rolled over his golden arm to give Australia a healthy lead of 155 runs, after India were all-out inside 41 overs with Keefe bagging six wickets in 13.1 overs after conceding 35 runs.
KL Rahul was the top scorer for India with 64 off 97 balls.
