India vs Australia 2017: Dhawan, Kuldeep Back As India Bowl First
Home captain Virat Kohli won the toss and took a no-brainer decision to bowl first, keeping dew factor in mind. There were two changes in the team from last contest that India played. Axar Patel was left out from the squad in favour of Kuldeep Yadav. Shikhar Dhawan was an automatic incoming batsman, who replaced Ajinkya Rahane.
The non-inclusion of Ashish Nehra was the most significant highlight.
For Australia, Jason Behrendorff made his T20I debut, who was handed the international cap by Bradd Hogg.
David Warner is leading the Australian team in the series due to a shoulder issue to Steven Smith. He has already been withdrawn from the series and is all set to fly back to Australia. An injury to him is a blessing in disguise for Australia as David Warner has a wealthy experience of leading an IPL team in Indian conditions and not to forget, he also led Sunrisers Hyderabad to an IPL triumph in 2016.
There is a forecast of rain later during the game and D/L method will come into play if water pours down from the sky.

Captains talk –
“Looking forward to this. Looks like a great wicket. I’m honoured to be the captain. I think the pitch is exactly like how it looked in the Test match. The ball will come on slowly towards the end.”
“We are gonna bowl first. There’s a bit of weather around, so we would like to know where we are placed. I don’t think the pitch will be much better in the second innings but weather is a massive factor. T20 is a format where you can’t take any team for granted, let alone Australia. The beginning is important, and one window here and there and Australia might pounce. From the last game, Axar is out and Kuldeep is in. Shikhar Dhawan replaces Ajinkya Rahane.
