KL Rahul has struggled with the form to cement his place so far in the side and home ground would be a treat for him to score big after failing to provide impetus in the first Test even after scoring 64 before playing a rash shot on the wicket which was bone-dry.
The 24-year-old Rahul has all those ingredients in his bag, but he needs to be bit cautious for not throwing his wicket at the crucial junctures the way he did against Australia before the hosts collapsed.
Rahul made fighting 64 off 97 balls in the first against Australia while spending 135 minutes at the crease and this shows he has the ability to stretch innings for a longer period of time. He was dismissed on 10 in the second innings.
The wicket-keeper batsman would be aiming to settle the score in order to exert the pressure from the middle-order batting line-up.
