He was on the right path and was all set to be named in the ODI series against England as well but a hamstring injury ruled out him out of the final Test and limited-overs series.
The small interruption cost him as he warmed the bench in the historical Test against Bangladesh but survived his place in the squad for Australia series. He would be vying to make a comeback in the national squad with a bang, which makes him a player to watch out for.
