- Kuldeep Yadav’s Maiden Wicket And Four-Wicket Haul On Debut:

The left-arm unorthodox spinner created a buzz with his four-wicket haul on the very first day of Dharamsala debut, as he was handed over the maiden Test cap to replace India’s all-format skipper Virat Kohli, who was suffering a shoulder injury after he tumbled on his right shoulder in Ranchi while fielding.
However, the scene was perfectly set for the 22-year-old spinner to deliver for India on the very first day of his international career.
On his debut, bowling with such character against a decent side like Australia, who had come a long way and well prepared to thwart the spin threat which is a norm in India.
The Uttar Pradesh-born held his line and the Kangaroos batsmen struggled against his flight and the drift.
The spectacular moment came when Kuldeep claimed his maiden wicket in the form of aggressive opening batsman David Warner (56), who scored his only fifty in the series decider.
While basking the glory, Kuldeep became India’s first unorthodox bowler formerly knows as ‘chinaman’.
The left-handed batsman Warner was caught in the first slip by stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane before emotional Kuldeep burst into tears while celebrating the prized scalp of a pocked-sized dynamo.
Interestingly, Kuldeep deceived Warner on the ‘flipper’ which he was taught by legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne, who was equally famed for the same trait.
It was indeed one of the memorable moments for the debutant and for the cricket fanatics. Kuldeep sent down 28 overs for his four wickets to concede 91 runs.
