The Men in Blue left-arm orthodox spinner Krunal Pandya is looking forward to giving his best in the second and final Twenty20 International of India vs Australia 2019 series at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. As India is trailing the T20I series by 1-0, Krunal is confident enough to make most of the Bengaluru surface which has traditionally favoured the batsmen. He expects a lot of runs to be scored in the impending game.

The 27-year-old all-rounder Krunal maintained the 22-yard surface seems quite reasonable to score runs. He stressed that the wicket would witness a run-fest following the low-scoring contest in Vizag on Sunday (February 24).

“I guess the wicket looks good here in Bengaluru, obviously I expect it will be better what it was in Vizag so we expect more runs on this wicket compared to Vizag,” Krunal revealed ahead of the second T20I in Bengaluru.

While considering the Bengaluru venue, it hosted as many as five games in which team bowling first won the game on three occasions, whereas, the team batting first won two games.

On the other side, Australia has played a solitary T20I to record a win.

Despite the low-scoring fixtures of late at Bengaluru as a venue, it has shorter boundaries which further could push batsmen to aim for the downtown.

Overall, India is dominating Australia in the T20Is by winning 11 games in 19 matches. Australia has managed seven wins against the Men in Blue in the shorter version of the international format.

Besides, India’s track record in T20Is at Bengaluru is equally fascinating. The hosts won two games out of three before eyeing for yet another win to level the T20I series.

Australia is a dominant force: Krunal

Krunal didn’t shy away from the fact that Australia has is a spirited unit. He cited that Australians always give their cent per cent to take on any of the oppositions.

Of late, Australia has struggled to continue the domination, but their impact in the world cricket has already grabbed the headlines, for their excellent show in the top-flight cricket.

“History says that Australia has been a great competitive side. And obviously, whenever you play against them they’re ready to give their hundred per cent,” Krunal stated.

Krunal remarked they are focused on their game and they haven’t shown any complacency whatever.

Also, he added hosts aim to deliver goods for the team.

“So, nothing has changed as far as Indian team. We’re concerned about what we want to do right now,” Krunal said.

With India ready to take the challenge head-on on February 27, it’s crucial for batters to make most of the opportunity suitably to bat on against Australia.
