Australia Cricket team all-rounder Glenn Maxwell once again upheld the spirit of the game as he helped Kedar Jadhav to get on his feet during the fifth ODI against Indian National Cricket team at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

Meanwhile, the men in blues have struggled badly to set the tone right during the chase. Chasing a target of 273 runs, the hosts lost Shikhar Dhawan in the fifth over. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma looked to stitch a big partnership but a cross-seam delivery from Marcus Stoinis got the better of the Indian skipper. Aaron Finch employed spinners from both the end with some spin on offer and got rewarded. Nathan Lyon removed Rishabh Pant with a perfect off-break while Adam Zampa broke the backbone of the middle-order.

The leg-spinner who has been among the wickets picked three wickets at quick succession to put Indian National Cricket team away from the game. He made Vijay Shankar his first bunny and then dismissed Ravindra Jadeja and well-set Rohit Sharma to seal the game for his side. But Kedar Jadhav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar put up a good stand to keep the host floating.

The incident took place during the 40th over of India’s innings when Glenn Maxwell bowled a straight delivery to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The Indian all-rounder drove the ball to the right of Maxwell and he crashed straight into Kedar Jadhav’s tummy causing a comic tumble onto the ground. However, Maxwell puts his hand up instantly and offers Jadhav a helping hand to uphold the spirit of the game.
