India’s southpaw spinner Ravindra Jadeja was right on the money in his first over. Jadeja, who was bowling from round the wicket, got the ball to spin away from Australian skipper Aaron Finch. The off-spinner was able to square the right-hander and the ball hit the top of off-stump. Thus, this was Ravindra Jadeja’s 173rd wicket in the 50-overs version. Finch scored 27 runs from 43 with the help of four fours. In fact, Finch had scored a good knock of 91 runs in the third ODI at Ranchi.
Meanwhile, Aaron Finch won the toss and elected to bat first. Australia has got off to a good start as their openers added 87 runs for the opening stand. Usman Khawaja continues his good form going as he is currently batting unbeaten on 50 runs. The southpaw has scored six fours and one six thus far in his innings.
This is his eighth ODI half-century. Meanwhile, Khawaja is accompanied by Peter Handscomb, who had scored his maiden ODI hundred in the previous match. Handscomb had scored a fine knock of 117 and he is currently batting on 12 runs.
On the other hand, India has made two changes in their playing XI. The hosts have brought in Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja in place of KL Rahul and Yuzvendra Chahal.
The series is currently tied at 2-2 and the decider is been played at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in the capital of the country, Delhi. Australia has made a good comeback into the series as they have won two consecutive matches.
Thus, the visitors have the impetus on their side. On the other hand, India will like to seal the series. This is the last ODI for India before the World Cup whereas Australia will play another five-match ODI series against Pakistan at UAE.
