India vs Australia 2019: Watch Virat Kohli’s Aggressive Send-Off To Glenn Maxwell
It wasn’t a regular day at the office for Glenn Maxwell. He went for a cheap score to his name in the final ODI of the series between India and Australia. With the game being well set by the top-order, one would have expected him to showcase his crackers. However, it wasn’t the case, as he hit that straight to Virat Kohli off Ravindra Jadeja.
After a fine 99-run partnership, India dismissed Usman Khawaja to get back into the scene. Meanwhile, Australia sent Glenn Maxwell to make most of the opportunity, as the platform was set by the Usman-Handscomb pair.
In between, Virat Kohli brought Ravindra Jadeja into the scene, which yielded success for India. Maxwell backed himself to lift Jadeja over Virat Kohli at the cover region. However, he couldn’t get the right elevation, which saw him handing a catch to the Indian skipper.
Ravindra Jadeja picked 2 wickets:
As ever, Virat Kohli was smart in taking the easy catch and gave an aggressive send-off to Glenn Maxwell, who has nothing to do rather than going back with his head down. Meanwhile, it was the second wicket for Ravindra Jadeja in the match.
Earlier in the day, Australia won the toss and asked the home side to bowl first. Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja started things brilliantly but couldn’t quite capitalise the start. Finch was the first to go with 27 runs to his name.
However, the other opener Usman Khawaja carried his scintillating form to score a blistering hundred. Peter Handscomb also carried his fine form to scored 52 to his name. Unfortunately, Australia lost both their hard-hitting batsmen Glenn Maxwell and Ashton Turner.
For India, Ravindra Jadeja was the wrecker-in-chief with 2 wickets. Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked one wicket each. Jasprit Bumrah has been pretty economical with his overs.
