India vs Australia 2nd T20I: Visitors Bowl First, India Unchanged 1

With an eye on the rain, David Warner won the toss in the second T20 International and decided to field first at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati which has become the 49th venue in India to host an international game.

The visitors have made one change to their playing eleven from the last game, bringing in  Marcus Stoinis in place of Dan Christian while the hosts have gone in unchanged.

Here is what the captains said:

David Warner:

“We will bowl first. Looks a good wicket, maybe a little bit soft underneath. Stoinis is playing in place of Christian. Rest of the team is same.”

Virat Kohli:

“The pitch looks good to play on, the only thing was the dew factor. We need to make sure we put up good runs on the board. We need to keep the winning momentum going. We don’t want to be complacent. The stadium is beautiful. It’s a packed house. We are playing with the same XI.”

Preview:

Meanwhile, the high-flying hosts will be looking to extend their winning run against the beleaguered visitors. A win in the forthcoming game will see India register not only its eight consecutive T20I win against Australia but will also seal the three-match series.
