India vs Australia: Top 10 Highest Wicket-Takers In Border-Gavaskar Trophy: The spinners have made a big difference in the India-Australia Test rivalry in recent years especially when the two giants of world cricket have locked horns in Indian conditions. With the pitches in India known for assisting spinners, the spinners from both the sides have made lives difficult for the batsmen.
The ongoing series between India and Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has not been an exception either. The likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Nathan Lyon have led the spinners’ domination in the series so far.

Jadeja was the Man of the Match in the first two Tests after starring with the ball while Lyon picked the award for taking 11 wickets including 8 in the first innings of the third Test. No fast-bowler features in the top 5 wicket-takers of the ongoing series.
While Jadeja is leading the list with 21 wickets, he is followed by Lyon and Ashwin who have picked up 19 and 18 wickets respectively. Todd Murphy (11) and Matthew Kuhnemann (8) complete the top 5.

Lyon has picked up 113 wickets in 25 Tests against India and is followed by the legendary Anil Kumble who picked up 111 wickets in 20 Tests against Australia. Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh complete the top 5.
