It’s the fifth day of the Test, just two sessions and 58 overs remaining and still, the fate of the game hangs in balance as the Indian team is still five wickets away from continuing their winning streak and Bangladesh batsmen are hindering their quest to do so.
The last day of the historical Test started with Sir Ravindra Jadeja, as his fans call him, providing a great start to the Indian team as he chipped in with a wicket when Bangladesh had just added three runs to their overnight total. But the visitors then stood at the crease and put in every effort to keep the hosts at bay.
On the other hand, the Indians were also not ready to let the game slip away as if it ends in a draw, then it’ll be a moral victory for Bangladesh. Chances were created, appeals were there but everything went in vain as nothing could be converted into a productive result.
But then, an effort to take on Ravichandran Ashwin cost skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and he gave an easy catch to Ravindra Jadeja, giving the Indian team a much-needed breakthrough.
At present, Sabbir Rahman is at the crease with Mahmudullah and now both are sailing team’s boat safely to ensure a draw at the end of the day.
