India vs Bangladesh 2017, One-Off Test: Twitter Reacts As Hosts Thrash Bangladesh By 208 Runs
Feb 13, 2017 at 2:56 PM
Virat Kohli-led India, on Monday, defeated Bangladesh by 208 runs to win the one-off Test in Hyderabad.
Beginning the day on 103 for 3, the visitors suffered a huge setback early on when Shakib Al Hasan was dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja. A 56-run partnership between Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim gave Bangladesh a glimmer of hope but an over-ambitious shot from the Bangladesh skipper ended his innings. The visitors managed to finish the first session without suffering any further setback but their short resistance was ended by a brilliant spell of reverse-swing by Ishant Sharma.
The pace spearhead sent back Mahmudullah and Sabbir Rahman in quick session to end Bangladesh’s hopes of saving the Test. Mehedi Hasan, who impressed with his batting in the first innings, tried to delay the inevitable with a stiff resistance before edging a Ravindra Jadeja delivery to wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha. The visitors were eventually dismissed for 250.

India must be thrilled that their dependency on the pitch to take 20 wickets are reducing with every game! This was a flat pitch. #IndvBan
