India’s spinners disappoint : Indian spinners did disappoint despite picking up early wickets. They failed to provide a breakthrough when Joe Root and Moeen Ali were batting which allowed England to grab a foothold in the match. Amit Mishra bowled 10 overs for 42 runs without picking up a wicket being the most disappointing of the three. Ravindra Jadeja bowled 21 overs for 59 runs picking up Alastair Cook after he was dropped twice by India. And Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers who managed to pick up two wickets. But even Ashwin failed to break that all important partnership between Moeen Ali and Joe Root when the team needed.
