1. Ravindra Jadeja – James Anderson Altercation:
The first match of India’s tour of England in 2014 was marred by a huge controversy that arose after James Anderson and Ravindra Jadeja were involved an altercation.
The incident took place on the second day of the Test. After an appeal for a caught behind against Jadeja was turned down, Anderson walked up to Jadeja and was seen saying something to the Indian player. Anderson continued his verbal attack even when the players were leaving the field for lunch.
The matter turned ugly when the Indian team accused Anderson of abusing and pushing Jadeja in the pavilion. The English camp retaliated by claiming that the Indian all-rounder had stepped towards Anderson in an aggressive and threatening manner. Charges against both the players were later dismissed.
