Getting back in form to win another toss after losing it at Rajkot, the Indian captain, Virat Kohli, without any doubt decided to bat first to put up as the much total on the board making it difficult for England to chase it down rest of the match. Making an expected amendment in the team, Gautam Gambhir made way for KL Rahul, whereas surprisingly Jayant Yadav, who made his ODI debut here last month, was also included in the team in place of his senior Amit Mishra.

England captain Alastair Cook too made an expected rejig bringing in James Anderson in place of Chris Woakes, who seems to have some issue with his knee, “Rajkot was almost a result pitch, this looks like it will turn. History shows that this is a result pitch. One change, part of a rotational policy – Woakes has bowled a lot of overs. Jimmy knows what he is doing with 470 odd wickets, great to have him back” said Cook at the toss.
