The Indian team’s poor form with the bat continued in the fourth Test of the series too as they were dismissed for only 152 runs in the first innings. In reply, the home team, led by the in-form Joe Root’s 77, scored 367 runs. Ian Bell and Jos Buttler too scored half-centuries.
Needing 215 runs to make England bat once again, Dhoni’s men faltered again and were dismissed for only 161, handing England a huge victory of an innings and 54 runs.
