Another series, another fascinating performance from India’s biggest asset in Tests. Ashwin made an even stronger case for his batting at no. 6, with 306 runs at an average of over 43. The four half-centuries which Ashwin made were all priceless and to go with his 28 wickets, this was a mighty fine series for the lanky off-spinner. With 28 wickets, he ended as the leading wicket-taker on either side.
