Virat Kohli (6):
India skipper Virat Kohli scored a brilliant fifty before edging one to Jos Buttler off Ben Stokes. Again, it was a bounce that did the trick for England. He scored eight boundaries in his 55-run innings. All in all, he was India’s best batsman on the night. As captain, he once again tinkered a bit too much with the field which shows tactical ineptness. His bowling changes were at times puzzling as Bhuvneshwar Kumar failed to complete his 10 overs on a pitch that assisted seamers. He was also responsible for a failed review. Kohli really needs to learn how to use DRS as soon as he can, for team’s sake.
