Rishabh Pant (wk) – It was speculated that Rishabh Pant will make his debut in the first T20I at Kanpur but Virat Kohli took a strange decision to open, keeping the youngster at bay. The result was seen on the field when Indian team lost the game, primarily due to lack of base at number 3. Virat Kohli is that base who has to bat at number 3 and hold the team’s batting. There might be a chance when Kohli might come back to his original position i.e. number 3 and if this happens then it will be Rishabh Pant who will be opening the innings as he is the only opener in the Indian team, apart from KL Rahul.
