England openers show character : England has a huge task on hands to chase 404 runs down which seems pretty unlikely. Alastair Cook and Haseeb Hameed went off to a slow start seeing of the Indian bowlers and took a huge number of deliveries to score 54 and 25 respectively. The batsmen stonewalled their wickets and kept playing safely which helped England see off a huge number of overs left in the days play.
