- Ajinkya Rahane:
Shikhar Dhawan could well be ruled out of the final game owing to an injury while practicing. Keeping that aside as well, Ajinkya Rahane deserves at least one game before the Champions Trophy to showcase his skills in this format. Rahane, India’s run-machine in Tests, might not have set the arena on fire in ODIs, but considering the indifferent form of other openers except Rohit Sharma, testing him out in the third ODI wouldn’t be a bad move. If he plays well, he could well find himself on the flight to England come June. Not to forget, he has toured England twice before and has a lot of experience under his belt.
