- Jason Roy

Arguably, the most consistent of the six openers used from both sides, Jason Roy is surely the first choice opener in the list. The right-handed batsman troubled the Indian bowlers from the outset, with his conventional cuts and good looking pull shots. He, in all three matches, scored the fifties (73, 82 & 65), but unfortunately, couldn’t convert any one of them into a big knock.
Among all English players, he was the only one to cross 200 run mark (220) in the series at an astonishing average of 73.33.
