Not to everyone’s surprise, Kedar would make the list after his dream run in the runs. The pocket size dynamite hammered England bowlers all over the park in Pune scoring match winning 122 runs, even after suffering cramps. He repeated heroics in Kolkata also, but couldn’t pull off a win for his side. He scored 90 off 75 balls and kept India in the chase until the penultimate ball of the match, where was found a fielder and got out.
His performance brought laurels from the experts and the pundits. He was India’s highest run-scorer also, registering 232 runs at an average of 77.33.
