Ineffective Spin bowling from England : The England spinners were not much effective as they failed to pick up the important wickets when needed. England went into the match with three spinners Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid and Zafar Ansari. All the three failed miserably to provide the breakthrough that was required when Pujara and Vijay were batting. As a result, the batsmen got themselves into the match seeing away both spin and pace and both Pujara and Vijay struck tons. However, Rashid managed to pick up Vijay late in the closing stages of the day and Ansari picked up Mishra who was sent out as a nightwatchman.
