The Indian bowlers dominated the first session of the day shattering the England batting line-up, which tried best to hold the ground but each and every time one or the other Indian bowler ran over it to affect another wicket. It was a poor session for England as in the 33 overs bowled in this session; they could just score 55 runs for the loss of 5 crucial wickets which further faded their hopes to win this game. A loss for England is written all over this game now.
England team had a poor start as the misery of Ben Duckett on this tour continued as he returned back to the pavilion without opening his account. The ball made a contact with his left hand before going to his thighs and then in the hands of the fielders. He will really find it difficult to sustain his place in the squad as it has been an awful tour for him so far. Moeen Ali, though showed that he settled by playing 31 balls but he was soon dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja. Ben Stokes did know knew where his off stumps is as Jayant Yadav spun a web and Stokes was into it. Soon Joe Root, who doubted umpire’s LBW decision, followed him before finally, Adil Rashid, the final wicket before lunch was surprised with extra bounce from Mohammed Shami.

It was a great session from India’s point of view as everything went according to the plan. Now it’s just the matter of time as in no case England can hope for a win, Indian bowlers will be looking to do the job as earliest as possible whereas England tail will be looking to minimise the difference between the runs so as to salvage some pride.
