New Zealand leveled the 5 match ODI series in style as they beat India by 19 runs in the 4th ODI.
New Zealand went off to a terrific start as both their openers clicked. With all four of their top 4 batsmen getting runs New Zealand looked to score big but were restricted to 260. Martin Guptill was the highest scorer with 72 on the board.
Chasing a total of 260 India failed to get the kind of start which was required. Although the first wicket partnership between Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli steadied the ship a bit. But after Kohli was sent back to the pavilion India kept losing wickets at regular intervals which saw them lose the tie at the JSCA International stadium in Ranchi.

Rohit Sharma (2/10): Rohit Sharma’s performance in the 4th ODI against New Zealand was below par as he failed to put India off to a good start chasing 260 runs on the board. Sharma got out to a beauty from Tim Southee for 11 of 19 balls. Sharma hit two 4’s on his course to 11 as his catch was taken behind the stumps by Watling.
