1.Martin Guptill: 2/10
Was under immense pressure to score after a string of failure in Tests. However, he failed to score big once again and his place in the team is looking under threat now.
2.Tom Latham: 6/10
Batted brilliantly in the first innings against the Indian spinners and made 58 but could score only 2 when it was needed the most.
3. Kane Williamson: 6/10
Was looking solid in the first innings but fell prey to a gem of a delivery from R Ashwin. Scored 75 in the first innings but failed to perform in the second innings.
4.Ross Taylor: 2/10
The most experienced batsman in the lineup, a lot was expected from him but he disappointed. Could not open his account in the first innings and in the second inning his irresponsible attitude ended his stay on the crease when he was run out by Umesh Yadav’s direct hit from deep mid wicket.
5.Luke Ronchi: 7.5/10
Justified his place in the team with by playing good knocks in both the innings. He scored only 38 runs in the first innings but played 83 balls to stop the mini collapse. In the second innings, he top-scored for the visitors with 80 runs but could not avoid the defeat.
