6.Mitchell Santner: 8/10
Arguably the best performer for the visitors.Took five wickets in the match and scored 32 and 71 in both the innings. His 102-runs partnership with Ronchi in the second innings was one of the finest batting displays by visiting batsmen in recent times.
7. BJ Watling: 5.5/10
A lot was expected from the wicketkeeper-batsman but he disappointed. His scores in the both the innings are 21 and 18. He should convert the starts into useful knocks as his role will be vital for New Zealand’s chances in the series.
8. Mark Craig: 5/10
On a pitch where the other spinners were making merry, he cut a sorry figure and could take only a couple of wickets in the match. More misery piled on him after he was ruled out of the series after suffering an injury.
9.Ish Sodhi: 5/10
Took three wickets in the match but a lot more is expected from him on the turning pitches.
10. Trent Boult: 5/10
On a pitch that had little to offer to the pacers, he rocked the Indian lower order in the first innings by taking three quick wickets in the. Could not do much in the second innings.
11.Neil Wagner: 4.5/10
Dismissed the dangerous Virat Kohli cheaply in the first innings and then Umesh Yadav but had a forgettable outing.
