After registering the victory in the T20I series, India will head to play the three-match ODI series against West Indies series. The worrying factor about the Indian team is that the big star players have sustained injuries. It may give the chances to the debutants. West Indies’s opener Evin Lewis also suffered from an injury during the Mumbai T20I, so the debutant Khary Pierre may get the opportunity in the ODI series.

West Indies and India will play the first ODI match on Wednesday (December 15) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Let’s take a look at three players which can make debut in ODI series

The 28-year-old Mayank Agarwal made the Test debut in December last year. He got the opportunity due to the injury of Prithvi Shaw. This time he might get the chance in ODI series as Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out from this series because he sustained with an injury during recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019/20.

Mayank has experience of playing one day cricket as he is regular on the domestic side. He was the part of current champions Karnataka in the finals of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019/20 and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019/20. He has played 79 List A matches and scored 3869 runs at an average of 50.90. The team management might choose him as an opener in place of Shikhar Dhawan.
