India failed to level the T20I series against West Indies as the second T20I was abandoned due to wet outfield.
After a heartbreaking loss in the first T20I, the Indian team gave a clinical performance in the final match of the series and were looking all set to level the series before the rain intervened.
The Indian bowlers, who performed disastrously in the last match and conceded 245 runs, gave a much improved performance and dismissed the World T20 champions on 143 in 19.4 overs. West Indies openers, who batted brilliantly in the first T20, failed to provide a good start once again as Evin Lewis was dismissed for only 7. Johnson Charles was the highest scorer with 43 runs. Apart from no other batsmen could make a major contribution. Amit Mishra, who replaced Stuart Binny in this match, took 3 wickets for only 24 runs in his four overs. R Ashwin, Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets each.
The Indian team were on 15 for no loss by the end of the second over before the rain arrived. After some time the rains stopped but umpires called off the match die to poor conditions. No result from this match meant India lost the series by 1-0. As expected fans were disappointed with the turn of events and took to Twitter to express themselves. Here are some of the tweets:

Shocker: Match called off due to wet outfield. India denied a sure-shot win. Again, no super sopper, no drainage #IndvsWI

Why don't they host matches involving India in drought affected areas in Maharashtra? It's sure to rain when India plays #WIvsIND
