West Indies with heroics from the test skipper Sammy and some help from the butter fingered Indian fielders, drew level the three match series with a 2 wickets victory. 5. Kieran Powell 59 (70) He came into bat when West Indies were reeling at 23/2 in 5.4 overs. He started his innings on a cautious note with watchful eyes on the ball which was skidding on the surface. A match saving partnership of 100 runs with Darren Bravo rescued the West Indies from trouble and provided the platform for the assult later.
4. Lendl Simmons 62 (74) By providing the right support to Man of the Match Darren Sammy, Simmons made the Indians pay for missing their chances as he stitched a partnership of 83 runs. This was very crucial for the time as another wicket at that juncture would have brought the curtains down for the West Indian side.
3. Virat Kohli 99 (100) The Indian run machine fell one short of his 18th ODI century when he was caught of Ravi Rampaul in the 36th over of the match. The wicket turned the tide in the favor of West Indies side as India lost momentum just before the final assault began restricting them to a healthy 288 runs from their allotted 50 overs. Virat innings was the pivot around which the Indian total was made but in the end it went in vain.

Ravi Rampaul 4/60 It is not always that we see a pacer getting four wickets on a subcontinent track, but Ravi Rampaul was rewarded for some accurate bowling and was the pioneer in holding the Indian batsmen down and restricting them below 300. He struck early removing the inform Rohit Sharma and later came in to claim the praised wicket of Virat, Raina and Jadeja.
1. Darren Sammy 63* (45) In an unbeaten innings that lasted 79 crucial minutes, Darren Sammy guided the West Indian chase with some lusty blows and timed shots. He scored at will hitting four fours and four sixes which kept the run rate down and made the chase easy towards the end. Even during the very end where West Indies lost quick wikets, Sammy was able to hold on to his nerve and take the Caribbean side home. He was awarded the Man of Match award for his gritty knock.
