Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant gave India a stronghold in the morning session of day two. While Pant overshadowed Kohli with his aggressive batting, Kohli looked cautious in his approach.
However, Pant departed eight short of his century, Kohli brought his 24th hundred to break a handful of records. Since the departure of Pant, it was all Ravindra Jadeja. He continued his excellent form from England and Asia Cup to this Test series against Windies.

He was attacking throughout his innings dominating the weak Windies bowling attack. His knock was filled with five fours and five towering sixes.
Ravindra Jadeja brings his century in style
The talismanic all-rounder was aggressive throughout his innings, however, slowed down after entering the nervous nineties. He concentrated on ones and twos as his eyes were on that magical three-figure mark.
Jadeja leaps in joy after completing the single off Kraig Braithwaite to reach his maiden hundred. He closes his eyes to look skyward as the whole of Rajkot stood to applaud his innings. Furthermore, Ravindra Jadeja also didn’t disappoint to entertain them with the sword celebration.

The whole Indian team stood up in joy to applaud the special knock by Ravindra Jadeja while his partner Mohammed Shami comes to congratulate him.

Soon after the hundred, India skipper Virat Kohli called the duo in. Ravindra Jadeja went back to the pavilion amidst the standing ovation.
