India made light work of Windies in the first ODI to go one nil up in the five-match series.
Asked to bat first, Windies came up with a fine effort to put up a challenging 322 for 8 in the allotted 50 overs. Shimron Hetmyer starred with the bat, slamming 106 off just 78 balls. Kieran Powell also made an impressive fifty at the top of the order to lay the foundation.
However, the score turned out to be too less in the end as India chased it down inside 43 overs. India lost Shikhar Dhawan cheaply but Rohit Sharma (152*) and Virat Kohli (140) scored centuries to bat Windies out of the game.
