International Cricket Council has reprimanded India’s southpaw Khaleel Ahmed for giving a send-off to veteran Windies player Marlon Samuels. Ahmed was able to produce the outside edge of Samuels bat which was neatly taken by Rohit Sharma at first slip. The fast bowler went on to celebrate Samuels by giving him a verbal send-off. Thus, the governing body has given an official warning and one demerit point to him.
He was found guilty of a Level 1 breach of the ICC code of conduct, for violating article 2.5, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures. Ahmed has admitted his offense and accepted the sanction which was proposed by match referee Chris Broad. Hence, there was no need for a formal hearing.

Ahmed receives one demerit point.
Khaleel Ahmed had bowled with fire in the fourth ODI as he got the ball to move both ways. Furthermore, Ahmed was able to get the ball in the right areas as he breathed down the neck of Windies batsmen.
Thus, Khaleel Ahmed scalped three wickets in the five overs he bowled and gave away only 13 runs. Therefore, he was instrumental in skittling out the visitors for a paltry score of 153 runs.

Ahmed was able to plumb Windies linchpin Shimron Hetmyer in front of the wickets. Moreover, Ahmed was able to get the ball to jag back in to hit the top of off stump of Rovman Powell. It was a beautiful ball from the rookie bowler as he got the ball to inswing into the right-hander.
However, the southpaw fast bowler who represents Rajasthan in the domestic circuit was over-excited in his celebration. In fact, it is understandable as he is still young in his International career. Therefore, it is pivotal for Ahmed to keep a check on his emotions.
