Team India pacer Ishant Sharma is likely to miss the upcoming Test series against Windies starting from October 4 at Rajkot.
Meanwhile, Ishant sustained an injury during the fifth and the final Test against England at Oval. As a result, he didn’t bowl in the second innings of England batting. The hosts made full use of it as they posted a massive target for India in the fourth innings. However, India succumbed to the total as they lost the match by 118 runs to lose the series by 4-1 margin.
Ishant Sharma reportedly suffered an ankle stress fracture and is likely to be out of action for at least a month. Thus he will miss the Test series against the Caribbeans. As per reports, Ishant has already sought a medical opinion in London.

Furthermore, he is likely to rest his injury before undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
Ishant was one of the standout bowlers for India in the series, leading the Indian pace attack. He remained the second leading wicket-taker in the series after James Anderson. He picked 18 wickets from 5 games and also grabbed a 5-wicket haul in the first Test held in Birmingham. Click Hare kerala vs saurashtra
The Indian team management too isn’t keen to Ishant Sharma exerting himself in Indian conditions. They want the Delhi speedster to be well prepared and fit in time for the big away tour to Australia later this year.
India will play two Tests, five ODIs and three T20Is against the Windies Cricket team.
