India vs Windies 2018: Rohit Sharma Becomes First Player To Score Four T20I Tons 1

India captain Rohit Sharma, on Tuesday, smashed a stunning century to help his side thrash Windies by 71 runs in the second T20I in Lucknow.

Rohit led the side from the front, scoring 111 off just 61 balls as India posted a mammoth 195 for 2 in the allotted 20 overs.  He reached his fifty in the 13th over before Fabian Allen ended his 123-run stand with Shikhar Dhawan by dismissing the latter. His knock was studded with 8 fours and 7 sixes as he powered India to finish 195/2 from 20 overs.

In reply, Windies kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. They were five down for just 68 runs on the board. The visitors rarely looked in contention and were eventually restricted to 124 for 9.

With the win, India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Meanwhile, Rohit achieved several personal milestones in the game after his scintillating ton. The century was Rohit’s fourth in T20Is which made him the first player to score 4 centuries in this format of the game. New Zealand’s Colin Munro (three hundreds) is the only other batsman to have scored more than two centuries.
