India vs Windies 2018: WICB Announces Schedule, Squad for India Tests

The West Indies Cricket Board, on Thursday, announced the 15-member squad for the India Tests, starting October 4th. Besides the two Tests, both India and Windies will play five ODI matches and two T20s before wrapping up the extended tour.

The tour will kick-off with the first Test in Rajkot, followed by the second Test in Hyderabad from October 12th. The white-ball format would then begin on October 21st in Guwahati. Indore, Pune, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram would host the remaining four games.

As far as the T20 format is concerned, it would begin on November fourth in Kolkata, followed by two games in either of Kanpur or Lucknow, and Chennai. However, after the completion of Asia Cup 2018, six days later, the bilateral series would begin.

“Windies Men will be in India for almost seven weeks starting September 26. They will compete against India in 2 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20s,” a press release from West Indies Cricket Board stated.

Test schedule

1st Test – October 4-8, Rajkot
2nd Test – October 12-16, Hyderabad

Schedule of ODI series

1st ODI – October 21, Guwahati
2nd ODI – October 24, Indore
3rd ODI – October 27, Pune
4th ODI – October 29, Mumbai
5th ODI – November 1, Thiruvananthapuram

Schedule of T20 Series

1st T20I – November 4, Kolkata
2nd T20I – November 6, Kanpur/Lucknow
3rd T20I – November 11, Chennai
