In the latest move, the All India Women’s Selection Committee for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s women squad.
On Monday, for the impending three-match One-day International series against England, Board named the 15-member list.
Simultaneously, the 50-over series will kick off in the first week of March, and all matches are bound to be played in Nagpur.
The competition will be beginning from April six before the second match will be played on 9th of April and third on April 12 respectively.
Subsequently, Mithali Raj will continue to lead the side as Twenty20 International skipper. Harmanpreet Kaur will serve as her deputy in the home competition.
Sushma Verma will don the gloves as Jemimah Rodrigues will continue to retain his place in the squad.
Concurrently, India women’s team is participating in the T20I Tri-series which includes Australia.
Also, following the third successive defeat at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, India women’s will not feature in the finals. However, they have a game left in the short paced tournament.
Moreover, India will face England in the sixth match of the competition on Thursday (March 29). Southern Stars will face England in the final on March 31.
On the other side, Heather Knight-led England will feature in a practice match against India A.
However, the 14-member India A squad is led by Deepti Sharma. The selection committee announced on March 26.
