Indian Fans Slam Michael Vaughan For Ignoring Virat Kohli From His Champions Trophy's Best XI 1

The last few weeks have been a bit rough for former England skipper Michael Vaughan. One of the most active former cricketers on Twitter, Vaughan has been slammed by many times by the fans of subcontinent teams for his match predictions. In fact, he had even tweeted about the abuses he received from the fans.

He had also faced the ire of Indian fans after taking at India following Team India’s humiliating loss at the hands of Pakistan in the final of the recently-concluded ICC Champions Trophy.

Following India’s 180-run loss and Indian Hockey Team’s 7-1 win over Pakistan, Vaughan had said that India should restrict themselves to Hockey only. “India need to stick to playing Hockey …. !!!!!! #PAKvIND” he had tweeted. As expected, he bore the brunt of the Indian fans.

And the former cricketer, it seems, has learnt little lessons from his past mistakes as he has once again invited the Indian fans to slam him by omitting Virat Kohli from his Champions Trophy’s team of the tournament. With 258 matches in 5 matches including three half-centuries, the India skipper was one of the top performers in the recently-concluded tournament. Kohli’s performance was enough for him to earn a place in ICC’s team of the tournament but Vaughan feels the right-handed batsman does not deserve to be in the best eleven of the tournament.  The former batsman also omitted Tamim Iqbal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar from the ICC’s team and included Rohit Sharma, Mohammad Amir and Shakib Al Hasan in his team.

And just like the past few days, Vaughan was once again slammed by the Indian fans. Here are some of the reactions:
