The Indian National Cricket team selectors have announced the squad on April 15, and it has been almost two weeks since then. However, the speculations and debates surrounding the team selection have no intentions to stop. Recently, a fan edited the Wikipedia page of Vijay Shankar to troll head coach Ravi Shastri who extended his support to Shankar after his selection.
Meanwhile, Vijay Shankar came out of nowhere to seal the no four berth toppling Ambati Rayudu. The Hyderabad batsman was all set to sit on the plane, but his inconsistency and one-dimensional ability went against him. Head of the selection panel MSK Prasad said that they have nothing against Rayudu while there were few things which went in favour of Vijay Shankar. Prasad also added that Shankar’s ability to contribute to all the department got him the ticket.

Fan trolls Ravi Shastri
Ravi Shastri has been one of the fans favourites and trends on social media irrespective of how the men in blues perform. And now out of nowhere, a fan mocked Shastri over the selection of Vijay Shankar as the no four batsman. On April 25 (Thursday), a fan edited the Wikipedia page of Vijay Shankar and put on a quote by Shastri while ending it by saying Shastri said it while he was drunk.
“He is better than Ambati Rayudu to play at no.4 in world cup said by Ravi Shastri when he was drunk,” the line read in Shankar’s Wikipedia page.

However, within six minutes of a goof-up, the sentence was removed, and the page is now in semi-protected mode until May 25 due to vandalism. Meanwhile, it was a dig on Vijay Shankar who has performed in whatever limited opportunities he has got. Currently, the Tamil Nadu all-rounder is playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. Shankar has been consistently and will look to keep up the excellent work in the upcoming ICC World Cup.
