Indian Pacer Umesh Yadav Becomes Assistant Manager At RBI
Till a few years back, Umeh Yadav wanted a secured and safe life and a government job was the best thing which he could have demanded. Once he walked in the dressing room of Vidarbha Ranji team, the right-handed pacer took no time and within two years of making his first-class debut, he saw himself being picked up in the Indian team. A year later, he made his Test debut. Umesh has now turned into go to man for India in Test and ODI format, courtesy his pace and the control he has developed over the years.
His success in the cricket field had now seen him being appointed as the Assistant Manager of Reserve Bank of India at a branch in Vidarbha. Now he has a permanent job there, which has now seen him fulfilling his dream of getting a government job.
Umesh has had talks with the officials even before he left for Champions Trophy 2017,
“The talks were on before the Champions Trophy. He had met RBI officials before leaving for England in May. The officials gave a go ahead to his appointment in sports quota but due to national duties he couldn’t complete formalities,” a source told TOI.
Umesh Yadav did not have a great start to his international career as a flurry of injuries to India’s main pacer saw him the charge of pace attack being falling on him and Varun Aaron less than just two years they both made their debut. Both of them had the pace but lacked consistency. (Read Here: Shikhar Dhawan Replaces Murali Vijay For Sri Lanka Test Series)
This also saw both of them getting dropped on few occasions but Yadav was dedicated and made a return to the side. He is now, in fact, India’s best bowler, a glimpse of which we saw in the long home season, where he developed himself into India’s best bowler.
His next challenge is against a depleted Sri Lanka side where the well-built pacer will look continue his form and dominance.
