The Eden Gardens is packed with the crowd where India is playing their first Pink ball game against Bangladesh. Indian bowlers showcased power-packed performance as the visitors were bundled out on just 106 runs. The trio Pacers were in full attacking mode with the pink ball.
Mohammed Shami‘s fast bowling first injured Liton Das. The Bangladeshi player was retired hurt and was under the concussion test. Liton Das complained about the pain to the umpire after Shami’s delivery directly hit to the player’s helmet. The physio of the Bangladeshi team took the player outside the field to diagnose concussion.
The fast bowler Shami was in full action with the pink ball as Nayeem Hasan was the second to hurt from the ball of the paceman. The visitor’s physio was with Liton Das so the Indian captain Virat Kohli called the team India’s physio, Mr Nitin Patel, to check Nayeem. BCCI shared that video on Twitter where India’s physio attended the Bangladeshi player. This action has given a clear message of sportsmanship.
Bangladesh batsmen struggled in front of the Indian pacers to score runs. Shadman Islam (29) and Liton Das (24) were the top two runs scorer in that innings. The experienced players Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim got out on the duck.
Ishant Sharma was successful in taking five wickets which were his 10th five-wicket haul in the Test cricket. As above mentioned, it gave a clear picture of Mohammed Shami’s bowling. He picked two wickets of the visitors.
