Five Indian Players Who Fudged Their Age To Play Age-Group Tournaments, age fudging

Rasikh Salam, who became only the third player from Jammu and Kashmir player to feature in the Indian Premier League, was found guilty for covering up his real age. In June last year, BCCI banned him ahead of the U-19 ODI-tri series in England.

Mumbai Indians scouted the talent of the pacer after he had performed impressively well in the Ranji Trophy 2018-2019 season. He went on to feature for MI, who bought him for INR 20 Lakh, in the IPL 2019 season. He didn’t pick many wickets but hogged the limelight because of his speed.

However, as the opportunities were opening for the youngster, he was caught was for misleading BCCI to play age-group competition.
